You Need Your Own Blogs to Promote Your Web Sites
I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, as we all know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the wordpress the most popular weblog platform on the Internet.
After a while I believed that build my own blogs will be more beneficial, because afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, of course this is not a new idea, the existence of blog networks already says it all, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, probably I will have to pay quite dearly to have my sites promoted.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not going to just put spams on them, the real content writing is time and money consuming, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. There are some interesting examples, let’s examine this one, Tie Down for Pick Up, the domain name is pretty good, and it has a lot of interesting posts, without a clear theme, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. One more example, Dog Bed, this blog is themed, all topics are about same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. there are more sites like these out there, though I guess you get the point already. Here is one last note, you should build some casual blogs, let them get some content occasionally, just like this blog, Heavy Duty Truck Tie Downs, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
If you have a few established blogs already, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. It sounds pretty simple, but to build a successful network will be much more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site kicked out by major search engines.
